Last weekend, Derek and I were lucky enough to attend the Nourished Food Festival in our area. The Nourished Festival takes place in ten different cities around the U.S. and is the largest gluten free, allergy, and special diet consumer event. The expos cater to those with food allergies, sensitivities, and auto-immune/inflammatory diseases and allow communities to sample and purchase new products, meet brand ambassadors, receive coupons, and attend educational classes. The Festivals have five zones to visit: Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Paleo, Keto & Plant-Based.
Never having attending an event like this, Derek and I did not know what to expect. We ended up discovering so many new products, interacting with lots of people, and sampling TONS of food and beverages! The celebration of community, healthy food products, and safe ingredients, allowed us to broaden our horizons and expand our comfort zones. Upon learning more abut digestive wellness, nutrition management, and how to make the most of the flavors we can enjoy, we are excited to get busy in the kitchen and look forward to attending again!
